Paul McCartney has made quite a return to the stage following his recovery. During his Saturday night concert in Albany, New York, he helped 64-year-old John Dann propose to the woman he loves.

The Democrat and Chronicle reported the story with a video taken by a member of the audience showing the Westchester couple on stage with McCartney.

Dann proposed to Claudia Rodgers after singing a verse from The Beatles's “When I'm Sixty-four,” to which McCartney, the band and the audience joined briefly.

The proposal took place on stage in front of more than 13,000 people, according to USA Today.

Luckily, proposing in front of musical legend Paul McCartney wasn't something that brought Dann any nerves.

"It was so wild that I didn't even have a chance to get nervous," he said.

Dann and Rodgers attended a McCartney show in 2011, where they noticed the musician pulling people on stage who had interesting signs. So for this show, they decided to give it a try and succeeded in catching his attention.

Rodgers held a sign that said, “He won't marry me 'til he meets you,” while Dann's sign said, “I have the ring and I'm 64.”

Saturday's Albany show was McCartney's first show since being away after contracting a virus in Japan that kept him from performing for two months.
