Production on Disney’s much-hyped Star Wars film will be halted for two weeks while Harrison Ford recovers from a leg injury.

The 71-year-old actor broke his leg in June while filming the sequel at the Pinewood Studios in London, according to The Washington Post. A door on the Millennium Falcon spacecraft falling on Ford’s leg caused the injury.

The Washington Post reports that Disney initially announced that Ford’s injury would not cause production to be affected. However, Sunday, Disney announced that for two weeks during the month of August, production would be suspended as a way to adjust the production schedule after Ford’s injury.

The injury and subsequent halting of production should not interfere with the movie’s release date. The Associated Press reports that filming should still remain on schedule and that the movie is set to wrap production in the fall and be released in December 2015.

Harrison Ford’s full recovery is expected to take approximately two months.

The new movie Star Wars: Episode VII is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Harrison Ford in addition to Carrie Fisher and Adam Driver, star of HBO's Girls, according to CinemaBlend.com.
