Rick Porcello (11-4) tossed a gem Tuesday night as he threw his second shutout complete game in a row, and he did it without a walk or a strikeout.

Porcello allowed just four hits against the Oakland Athletics (51-32) giving his Detroit Tigers (46-34) a 3-0 victory over the AL West leaders. Porcello is now tied with Yankees rookie Masahiro Tanaka for the most wins in the Major League according to MLB.com.

Porcello’s recent starts are causing a lot of chatter about him being a potential All-star this year. Porcello hasn’t allowed a runner to cross home plate in 25.1 innings, a span of three games according to The Detroit News.

A’s starter Brad Mills was tagged for all three of Detroit’s runs over his six innings of work. J.D. Matinez homered to left for his 10th of the year, scoring Ian Kinsler to make it 3-0 in the sixth inning.

Porcello will have the chance to extend his streak on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
