Rosie O’Donnell was not going to let Elisabeth Hasselbeck speak for her. The former View host went on a Twitter burst yesterday, in response to Hasselbeck’s comments about O’Donnell’s possible return to the show.

Throughout the week, there have been constant rumors that O’Donnell would be returning to the show, but O’Donnell and ABC had remained quiet on the subject. Hasselbeck went on Fax & Friends Wednesday morning and appeared to confirm that O’Donnell was going back. Hasselbeck, who still has bad blood with O’Donnell apparently, also took the time to take a few swipes at O’Donnell.

While she still managed to not confirm anything, O’Donnell did respond to some of Hasselbeck’s comments. She also hinted that she was going to work with View producer Bill Geddie, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

O’Donnell started the flurry of Twitter activity by responding to an Entertainment Tonight tweet about Hasselbeck’s comments. She just called them “shocking.”

Later, a fan asked if she would work with Geddie again. “Stay tuned,” she replied.

O’Donnell also claims that she approached Hasselbeck during the send-off episode for Barbara Walters in May. “She was hiding in her dressing room—til i walked right in and said hello—her reply LETS TAKE A SELFIE !!” O’Donnell wrote.

At the moment, Whoopi Goldberg is still the only member of The View returning for the next season. Walters retired and both Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy have decided to leave.
