Shia LaBeouf is facing the music after his highly publicized outburst during the Broadway show Cabaret last month.

The actor appeared in court on Thursday in connection with the case, which saw him get arrested after standing up and yelling at the actors onstage. He then reportedly threatened his arresting officers.

According to Wall Street Journal, LaBeouf, 28, was accompanied by his attorney, Robert Gage, in court as he appeared before Judge Ann Scherzer. The next court date is scheduled for Sept. 10.

LaBeouf’s attorneys are currently working on a plea deal to resolve the case and put it behind him.

Fox News reports LaBeouf and his lawyer wouldn’t respond to reporters as they left the courthouse.

LaBeouf’s bizarre behavior started months ago, and in January, he announced on Twitter that he would be “retiring from all public life.” It all started when he was accused of plagiarizing David Clowes' Justin M. Damiano in his short film HowardCantour.com.
