Stan Lee was set to attend the San Diego Comic Con on Friday and Saturday, but has had to suddenly pull out.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, who first learned of the cancelation, the 92-year-old lost his voice after coming down with laryngitis.

"Unfortunately Stan Lee has lost his voice due to laryngitis and is unable to attend this year's San Diego Comic Con, and has regrettably had to cancel his appearances," his spokesman said. "Stan is otherwise well and in good health, though he is disappointed to miss the event and wishes everyone a great time."

The former Marvel comics editor-in-chief was set to be available for signings and appearances during Friday and Saturday of the SDCC.

While his cancelation is likely a disappointment for fans, there is plenty at the convention for people to enjoy, including a Jaeger Combat Simulator, giving fans a chance to feel like they're part of Pacific Rim, and there is also the chance to obtain a Jurassic World poster.
