Tara Lynne Barr has been tapped to join the cast of NBC's event series starring David Duchovny and focusing on Charles Manson.
The God Bless America actress, who also has had guest spots on Disney Channel shows, will play Katie, who has fallen in with Manson and his growing group in the 1960s and helps him snag Emma (played by Emma Dumont), Deadline reports.
The 13-episode Aquarius stars the X-Files alum as a Los Angeles police sergeant who discovers that a small-time criminal, Manson (Gethin Anthony), has started his own cult. He and his partner decide to go undercover to investigate the situation.
Duchovny's character, Sam Hodiak, finds himself also drawn further into the situation when his ex-girlfriend Grace (Michaela McManus) contacts him after her daughter Emma doesn't come home one night.
NBC has made it known that should the first season prove popular, then there are plans to continue Aquarius and even include the murders of Sharon Tate and Rosemary LaBianca.
Duchovny is also on board to executive produce alongside creator John McNamara, Becky Clements, Jonas Pate, Marty Adelstein, Alexandra Cunningham and Melanie Greene.
