Tennessee Titans rookie offensive lineman Taylor Lewan will go to trial for an alleged assault on Oct. 28 in Michigan.

The former University of Michigan left tackle is facing one count of misdemeanor aggravated assault and two counts of assault and battery. Two Ohio State fans claim that Lewan assaulted them the night following the Michigan-Ohio State football game, according to ESPN.

Lewan will have to be at both jury selection on Oct. 27 and the trial the next day, according to the Detroit Free Press.

He will not miss any games or practices while attending the trial, as that week is the Titans bye week.

Lewan has said he didn’t do anything wrong throughout ordeal saying that he was trying to break up a fight and that that isn’t the type of person he is off the field.

Lewan was the Titans first pick in the draft, number 11 overall. He is one of three players to be drafted that have not signed with their team.

When he was arraigned on the charges, Lewan was ordered to stay away from the alleged victims and to not use alcohol or drugs.
