It was everyone’s favorite week on The Bachelorette last night: fantasy suite dates!

Andi and her final three suitors traveled to the picture perfect paradise of the Dominican Republic.

The first fifteen minutes of the show were spent recapping Andi’s relationship with each guy thus far (for those who have been snoozing through every episode, I assume). ABC clearly just needed some filler for the two-hour time slot.

Finally, they get the ball rolling with the one-on-one dates. First up was Nick. The couple goes for a romantic helicopter ride over Punta Cana and land on a small, secluded private island off the coast. They go swimming in the crystal clear blue waters and passionately make out. Ah, only on The Bachelorette.

Andi tells the audience in voiceovers how she really wants Nick to open up to her about his past heartbreaks, after seeing how concerned his family was about him potentially getting hurt again last week on the hometown date.

Nick said his worst breakup was in his early 20’s and he didn’t really talk to anyone for six months after it happened. Jeez. Surprisingly, he said calling off his engagement wasn’t as heartbreaking—just more embarrassing since his ex-fiancé was the one who broke it off.

However, despite his lack of success in love, Nick said, “I’m never not gonna put myself out there.”

Throughout the date, Nick anxiously tries to find the perfect time to tell Andi he loves her. He fails to man up during the first half of the date.

At dinner, Nick has a surprise for Andi—he made her a fairytale storybook (fully-equipped with hand-drawn pictures) chronicling their time together on the show. Although it was an attempt to besweet and endearing, overall, this gesture just comes off as creepy and weird. Sorry Nick.

Andi offers Nick the fantasy suite card and he jumps at the opportunity to “talk her ear off” for the entire night. Come on, Nick. We all know you guys won’t be doing that much talking in there. Before they go off to the suite, Nick finally drops the L-word. Andi seems happy, and they run off to fantasy suite land.

The next day, Andi has a one-on-one date with Josh in historic Santo Domingo, the capitol of the Dominican Republic.

They walk around the charming city and get a taste of the local culture. This time, Andi surprises Josh by bringing him to a local baseball field (shocker) to watch children playing baseball.

Although the whole baseball thing gets tiresome week after week, it was actually kind of cute to watch Josh and Andi run around the field and play with the Dominican children. Andi loves seeing how natural Josh is with the kids and could really picture him being a great father.

Once again, this week, Andi needed some extra reassurance from Josh about his feelings towards her. She always seems to be questioning and worrying about what he thinks—maybe this is because she likes him the most?

Luckily for Andi, Josh blatantly says “I love you” to her multiple times throughout their date, and she does not look happier when she hears it.

“I see you being that mother and wife, and that’s a big thing for me. I told you the next person I say ‘I love you’ to is the person I want to marry and spend the rest of my life with,” he said.

At the end of their date, Andi and Josh both agree to spend some extra alone time together in the fantasy suite. There’s no question Josh hit it out of the ballpark on their date (yes, pun intended).

Finally, Andi had a one-on-one date with Chris. After Andi’s last two dates that couldn’t have gone any better, Chris definitely had a lot to live up to. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t.

Although the couple seemed to have a great time riding on horseback through the Dominican countryside and talking about how great Chris’ family was, their relationship clearly seemed to lack to physical chemistry and intensity that Andi has with Nick and Josh.

Before the date even began, Andi was questioning whether or not she wanted to stay overnight with Chris. As the date progressed, it didn’t look like the fantasy suite would be happening.

As they talked over dinner, the conversation immediately went straight back to the Iowa situation. What would Andi do for work in Iowa? Is the transition of moving out to the farm worth it?

When Chris tells her all the perfect things any girl would die to hear (how much he loves her, sees a future with her, etc.), the waterworks begin. “It’s not just the fact about me not seeing myself in Iowa,” Andi cried. “A part of me knows that I don’t see the foundation with us.”

Andi continues to sob and tells Chris she doesn’t think it’s fair to make him wait for a rose ceremony. So, she just sends him home then and there. Chris handles the breakup with dignity and character, even though he is clearly heartbroken.

“I want your feelings to be for me, and if not, I want to go home,” he said to Andi.

Although Chris was already sent home, the rose ceremony must go on. As Andi said, it’s a two way street and Josh and Nick still must accept her rose.

Don’t hold your breath for too long—they both accepted the rose.

Andi’s final two lovers are Josh and Nick. Who will get down on one knee and whom will Andi say yes to? We will have to wait two more long weeks until we find out.
