In the 2014 British Open, Tiger Woods will be the main attraction as fans across the world will be watching one of the most famous golfers of all time perform.
In the past couple of years, Woods has had to deal with injuries that have set him back. He recently had surgery on a pinched nerve, and because of that golf fans are anxious to see what Woods will be able to bring to the table this time around in the Open Championship.
Despite his injury, Woods feels he is ready to go. He believes since the surgery, he has gotten stronger and faster, reports ESPN.
"I've gotten stronger since [the surgery]," Woods stated. "I've gotten more explosive. I've gotten faster since then. ... I'm only going to get strong and faster, which is great."
Since his tournament debut in 1995, Woods has won the British Open Championship three times. He won in the years 2000, 2005, and 2006, reports the New York Times.
With the British Open underway, Woods is looking to capture a victory at this championship competition to make it his fourth championship overall at the British Open. In Woods’ illustrious golf career, he has won 79 official PGA tour events, and he has won 14 major titles. Tiger looks to add more to his legacy at the British Open.
