Just as trends change, actors, actresses and musicians have their heightened moments and then unfortunately sometimes fall. What once was popular eventually fades and suddenly these once overly famous people are now out of the spotlight.
We don’t hear about what happened to certain people after their shows got cancelled or they stop making music. Did they retire? Or are they just staying behind the scenes producing? Are they simply laying low?
Actors like Chad Michael Murray and Freddie Prinze Jr. were teenage heartthrobs at one time but what happened to them? Gwen Stefani was known for being the lead singer of No Doubt in the 90s and had a stellar solo career but since then hasn’t been heard from.

After McAdams and her The Notebook co-star, Ryan Gosling broke up, we hadn’t heard much from the Mean Girls evil queen B. In the mid-2000’s, McAdams was seen in several box office hits one right after the other. Now, although she is lined up for several pre-production flicks, we miss seeing her in the spotlight like she used to be.

In the 90’s, Mandy Moore was known for her hit singles like “Candy,” “Crush,” and “Cry.” Soon after her bubblegum pop days were done, she became a well-known actress for her roles in A Walk to Remember and for her appearance in The Princess Diaries. After several romantic comedies, Moore started to slowly fall out of the spotlight only appearing in the 2010 hit animated film, Tangled.

This High School Musical sweetheart was a big deal back in 2006. Being one of the most popular made-for-TV movies of all time, the HSM crew eventually went their separate ways. Tisdale however released two solo albums and starred in several programs. In the 90’s, Freddie Prinze Jr. was a heartthrob known for his appearances in I Know What You Did Last Summer and She’s All That. However, in the late 2000’s, the actor announced he was retiring from the movie world, only to reemerge slowly in 2010 doing voiceovers for several video games.

Known for her songs “Work It” and featured on Ciara’s “Lose Control,” this singer, songwriter, rapper and producer was featured on dozens of singles in the mid-2000s. Unfortunately in 2011, Elliott came out that she was suffering from a hyperthyroid condition called Graves’ disease preventing from her continuation with her music career.
