It is no surprise Scarlett Johansson became an actress. With her mother being a producer, Melanie Sloan, and her grandfather, Ejner Johansson, being a screenwriter and director, the celebrity got her start in Hollywood with a large support system behind her.
With Johansson’s portrayal of Nicholas Spark’s Grace MacLean in The Horse Whisperer (1998), the actress gained her first credited role, even though she had already completed five films prior to Touchstones Pictures’ adaptation of the best-selling book, says Discover Fame.
Since her time as a young actress, Johansson has been making a name for herself in the entertainment industry, appearing in a number of the most popular films winning Best Actress for her role in Her at the 2013 Academy Awards.
In honor of Johansson’s most recent project, Lucy, being released this Friday, July 25th, here are our top 10 Scarlett Johansson films.
