We would like to wish a very happy 53rd birthday to Woody Harrelson!
In 1985, the Ohio native married Nancy Simon, daughter of playwright Neil Simon (Lost in Yonkers (1991), Brighton Beach Memoirs (1983), The Odd Couple (1965), and Biloxi Blues), but the marriage only last a few months. However, Harrelson is currently married to Laura Louie, co-founder of an organic delivery food service. The couple share three children together, Deni Montana (21), Zoe Giordano (17), and Makani Ravello (8).
Harrelson has had a prominent role in Hollywood since the start of his acting career in 1985 on the fourth season of CBS’s Cheers as Woody Boyd, a fun-loving bartender. Once Cheers concluded with it’s final episode in 1993, Harrelson began dabbling in film and began appearing in many popular films.
His most recent role, however, has only increased his popularity in Hollywood as he continues to perfectly portray an alcohol-loving mentor, Haymitch Abernathy, in Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games (2012).
In honor of Harrelson celebrating his 53rd birthday, here are our top 10 Woody Harrelson films!
