Big Brother easily topped Thursday night while two summer comedies from NBC debuted softly, as is part for the course.
CBS easily took the night with a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.605 million viewers off the back of series repeats and Big Brother. Two encores of The Big Bang Theory started off the night strong, averaging a 1.7 rating, HitFix reports. Big Brother managed a 2.0 demo rating.
With a 1.1 rating in the demo and 3.58 million viewers, Fox came in second with Hell's Kitchen ticking up to a 1.5 demo rating. Gang Related held even for the week with a 0.8 rating.
NBC edged ABC by a hair with a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo for the night and 3.43 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Welcome To Sweden started off the new comedy hour, managing a paltry 0.9 rating, while Working the Engels debuted a tick lower with a 0.7 rating. Last Comic Standing was even with a 1.0 demo rating.
ABC averaged a 0.8 rating in the demo and 4.58 million viewers. Black Box and Rookie Blue were both consistent with last week's numbers with a 0.7 and 0.9, respectively. NY Med improved slightly to close out the night with a 0.9 rating.
