Big Brother and America's Got Talent tied for top programs in TV ratings on Wednesday night, while Extant and Motive both fell in live+same day ratings.
NBC romped to victory on the night with a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 8.63 million viewers. America's Got Talent pulled in a 2.3 rating between the two hours, HitFix reports, with an improved Taxi Brooklyn up to a 1.1 demo rating.
CBS followed on the night with a 1.4 rating in the demo and 6 million viewers. Big Brother tied Talent with a 2.3 rating, while Extant followed with a huge drop off down to a 1.1 rating for its third episode. The show will likely improve to close to a 1.7 when live+7 day ratings come out.
Place third was Fox, which averaged a 1.1 rating in the advertiser-important 18-49 demo and 3.76 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, So You Think You Can Dance was even on the night with a 1.1 rating.
ABC pulled in last with a 0.8 rating in the demo and 3.74 million viewers. The network's only original of the night was Motive, which fell to a 0.6 rating, which is a series low.
