MasterChef hit a new season high on Monday night, while Under the Dome fell in both overall viewers and in the key demographic.
For live+same day ratings Fox took the win with a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.925 million viewers. MasterChef surged ahead on the night with a strong 2.1 demo rating, Hitfix reports. Hotel Hell returned after a two-year hiatus to a 1.5 rating.
NBC followed behind with a 1.6 rating in the demo and a weak 4.91 million viewers. The network performed fairly well considering the only new original of the evening was American Ninja Warrior, which ticked up to a 1.9 rating.
In third was ABC with a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demo and the top overall audience with 5.735 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Bachelorette held steady from last week with a 1.8 rating and Mistresses followed even with a 1.0 key rating.
CBS struggled, managing only a 1.2 rating in the advertiser-important demo and 5.12 million viewers. The only new original was Under the Dome, which fell to a 1.5 rating, a new series low. The show has performed better when DVR numbers are included though, likely helping contribute to the network's desire to do away with live+same day ratings.
The CW averaged a 0.4 rating in the demo and 1.09 million viewers. Whose Line Is It Anyway held even with a 0.6 rating, while new shows Backpackers and Seed continue to be unable to draw any traction and pulled in only a 0.2 rating each.
