In an op/ed for the Wall Street Journal, supermodel and America’s Next Top Model creator Tyra Banks is predicting how different the world’s perception of beauty will be in the future. She makes many other predictions in the op/ed, on topics such as gender equality and women's empowerment.

Banks writes that she believes that plastic surgery will be “as easy and quick as going to the drugstore for Tylenol,” although she doesn’t think everyone will strive for the same features. She writes that people will get plastic surgery to set themselves apart, valuing looking “unique” as opposed to “cookie-cutter.”

Banks also predicts that couples will be able to select the features of their baby, which will cause blue and green-eyed babies to become the norm. “Blue and green eyes will become so common that dark brown will become the rare and newly desired eye color,” she wrote.

When it comes to equality of the sexes, Banks believes “balance of power between the sexes will have shifted dramatically.”

Other thoughts she has are the accessibility of “beauty ingestibles” instead of plastic surgery and the existence of a “robot/assistant/companion.”
