Vanessa Hudgens is back this season as the face of Bongo and she is looking better than ever simply because she looks like herself.
The urge for fashion companies to shy away from using Photoshop when creating advertisements for their products is growing and Bongo is jumping on the train as it promises Hudgens’ photos are 100% her, no re-touch added.
The High School Musical star said in a statement, "I love that the final ad images are unretouched. "It's so important for girls to remember that real beauty shines from within, and I'm so proud that Bongo is choosing to send such a positive message with this campaign,” notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Other former faces for the brand are none other than Nicole Richie, Rachel Bilson, AnnaSophia Robb and Pretty Little Liars stars Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale. E! Online reports that the brand Bongo is hoping to inspire girls to feel confident in the clothes they wear, no matter their waist size. This is not the first brand vowing against the use of Photoshop as Aerie has been hard at work on their #aeriereal campaign since January.
Hudgens’ ads will begin showing up in select fashion magazines this August.
