Former child actresses Mara Wilson and Lisa Jakub have taken a moment to remember their fellow co-star Robin Williams in tribute posts on their blogs.

Robin Williams’ on-screen daughters from the 1993 classic Mrs. Doubtfire have both taken to the Internet to voice their grief over the actor’s suicide on Monday morning.

Mara Wilson, who is most famous for her role of the precocious protagonist in Matilda wrote a brief post on her blog to remember her fallen co-star. “Everybody grieves in their own way. When I heard about Robin’s death, I was shocked, confused angry, regretful, and above all, sad,” wrote Wilson.

However, Wilson did write a beautiful bit about who Williams was to her. “While Robin and I had not talked in a few years, there is no question he had a great impact on my life. He was as warm and talented as everyone says, and a joy to be around. It’s as if my favorite teacher died.”

Lisa Jakub, who was 14 while filming Mrs. Doubtfire, shared an anecdote about Williams writing a formal letter to keep her in high school on her blog. Jakub called Williams “an incredibly kind human being” before explaining how much his letter meant to her. “Robin stood up for me,” she wrote. “He was in my corner. I was only 14, but I had already seen that I was in an industry that was full of back-stabbing. And it was entirely clear that Robin had my back.”

Jakub then went on to plead people struggling with depression to ask for help. The post is a touching one that demands to be read.
