This will be Amazon’s third season where it will add five pilot episodes for five new original series to Amazon Instant Video where users will watch, rate and review in the U.S. and U.K., reports Entertainment Weekly. Based on users comments and ratings, Amazon will decide which shows will move on into becoming full series.
Amazon is releasing two one-hour long dramas and three half-hour comedies for review. The two dramas are Hand of God which follows a judge relying on ‘visions’ and ‘messages’ from God to help him find the rapist who tore his family apart and Hysteria which a community comes down with a psychological illness which may being passed through social media.
The half-hour comedies include The Cosmopolitans where an American searches for love in Paris, Really which follows four married couples dealing with their dwindling youth and Red Oaks about a young man deciding what major to declare in the fall but meets a group of misfits to help him enjoy the last of his summer.
While their two series from last year Alpha House and Betas did not receive as much success as Netflix originals such as House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, these shows may hold potential for Amazon Instant Video’s future reports Time.
