American Idol judge Keith Urban admits he is pulling for the Nashville contestants on the upcoming fourteenth season of Fox’s American Idol.
The American Idol judges recently traveled to Nashville to scope out this year’s possible contestants. In light of the auditions, the “Cop Car” singer admitted he expects a lot and is pulling for the Nashville natives.
"There's definitely a sense of pride for me in Nashville," he admitted to People. "I want everyone here to walk in and kill these guys. I want Nashville to bring it."
While Urban might be biased, the country singer wasn’t the only judge who revealed they are anxious to see what Nashville has to offer.
"Being in a music center like Nashville sets the bar high," Lopez added. "The people on the building there – Dolly [Parton], Elvis, Taylor [Swift], Miranda Lambert – they're huge stars."
According to AmericanIdol.com, the hit show’s fourteenth season will arrive in January of 2015. Ryan Seacrest will be returning as a host with Lopez (Monster-in-Law), Urban, and Harry Connick, Jr. (Hope Floats) returning as judges for their fourth, third, and second seasons, respectively.
