After rumors that Big Sean and Ariana Grande were the music industry’s newest couple, they confirmed their new relationship at the MTV VMAs by holding hands backstage.

Rumors began to swirl earlier this month that they had been spending time together after her break-up with Jai Brooks and his broken engagement to Glee’s Naya Rivera.

According to Us Weekly, in a quick clip before the show went to commercial break, the two were seen holding hands and walking down the hallway to her dressing room just after she finished performing “Bang Bang” with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J.

They reportedly started dating after collaborating on their song "Best Mistake," which was recently released.

"There is a lot of chemistry as you heard in the song, which is how they first got close,” said a source, adding they’ve been "hanging out a lot lately."

Grande’s new album My Everything just became available and she won an MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night for Best Pop Video for “Problem” with Iggy Azaela.
