MTV revealed on Friday that there has been a change to the cast of the network's upcoming adaptation of Scream.
Amy Forsyth was originally on board to play the role Audrey Jensen, but has since been replaced with Bex Taylor-Klaus, Deadline reports. Forsyth's departure from the project reportedly came after a recent table read.
Taylor-Klaus is still an up-and-coming actress with only a few roles under her belt, including in The Killing, House of Lies and Arrow.
Her character in Scream is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor and is a bit of a loner. Audrey is the childhood friend of lead character Emma Duvall, who left her friend behind as she became popular.
Willa Fitzgerald is toplining the pilot as Emma, with Carlson Young, John Karna and Amadeus Serafini also starring.
Wes Craven (right) will not be directing the pilot based off his popular franchise, but will be an executive producer. Harvey and Bob Weinstein, along with Cathy Konrad and Marianne Maddalena also are on board to exec produce.
Jamie Travis is directing the pilot and Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin wrote the script. Jill Blotevogel will be the showrunner and executive produce.
