Brooke Burke-Charvet recently discussed her experience with being fired from ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
Burke-Charvet won Dancing With the Stars in 2008 and returned as a cohost alongside Tom Bergeron for the hit show’s 10th season. However, after two years as a cohost, she was fired from the show in February.
While it appears as though she is taking the situation fairly well, she just recently opened up about her own thoughts on being let go by Dancing With the Stars.
“I honestly didn’t see it coming,” she revealed in the upcoming September issue of Shape Magazine. “I tweeted something like ‘shocking elimination’ because I had to find humor in the situation.
She later revealed that ABC fired her over the phone, claiming she felt as though it should have been handled in a better way, but then brushed it off, saying, “that’s life, and that’s the industry.”
“The one thing I learned in the ballroom was how to dance through the chaos of life gracefully,” she added. “The way you exit is as important as the way you walk in the door.”
While Burke Charvet will not be appearing on the next season of Dancing With the Stars, she has since been very honest on her Twitter account, letting fans know she is out and auditioning for new projects.
Just read for a sitcom. So nerve racking. 20's flashback. Bookending my audition with Mani pedi & hair salon
