X: Men director Bryan Singer’s sexual assault accuser is now taking a step back from the lawsuit he filed in April, claiming Singer abused him in 1999 during trips to Hawaii when he was 17 years old.
Last month, we reported Michael Egan had been dropped by his attorney after he declined to settle lawsuit in June for $100,000.
According to Fox News, Egan said the reason he’s withdrawing the lawsuit is due to a “consequence of the current circumstances regarding my case, my lack of legal counsel, and my inability to proceed in this matter acting on my own behalf.”
Egan, 31, wants the case dismissed without prejudice, which would allow him to re-file at a later date. However, Singer’s attorneys have filed paperwork asking for it to be dismissed with prejudice in addition to requesting Egan take care the legal fees.
Their objective is to "dispose of Egan's malicious lawsuit once and for all."
