Calum Hood, who plays bass for 5 Seconds of Summer, admitted on Twitter that the nude Snapchat video is indeed real.
The video, which eventually was posted to Vine, showed up online Thursday night and left many people wondering if it was real.
Well the bassist took to Twitter that same night and copped to the truth. "Least ya know what it looks like now," he quipped. Hood followed it up with another tweet, "I'm still just a teenage kid learning from mistakes."
As the video went viral, 5 Seconds of Summer fans took to Twitter to let Hood know they didn't think any less of him, E! News reports. Fans created the trending hashtags #WeLoveYouCalum and the lengthy #WeDontCareCalumWeAreHereForYou.
The band has taken such problems in stride before, such as during the Teen Choice Awards, where they accepted their award in a recorded video. They only wore bath towels as they thanked their fans, who then began to wonder about Ashton Irwin and his bulge.
He laughed off the scandal and joked on Twitter, "Apparently I had a boner in the acceptance video."
