The Chicago Bears have reportedly signed free-agent wide receiver Santonio Holmes.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted about the possible signing on Saturday morning.

The Bears also have Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall on the wide-receiver depth chart.
The team decided to work out Holmes earlier this week after losing projected No. 3 receiver Marquess Wilson, who underwent surgery to repair a broken collarbone, NBC Sports noted.
Little interest was shown in the offseason for the veteran wideout, who played for the New York Jets last year before becoming a free agent. The 30-year-old has not posted a 1,000 yard season since 2009 and is sometimes better known for his brash talk, off-the-field antics and legal troubles than his play.
Perhaps his best performance came during Super Bowl XLIII in which he caught nine receptions for 131 yards and had one touchdown to seal the Steelers’ victory. Holmes was named MVP of the game.
For his career, he has 381 receptions for 36 touchdowns and 5,963 receiving yards, according to Pro-Football-Reference.com..
