Daniel was captured by Kristen. Sami forced Kayla to fire Abby from her hospital job. Will began his attack on his mother. Victor and Eve had words with each other. JJ and Paige got closer. Nicole was there for Brady as a friend. Jordan found out about Rafe and Kate. Clyde continued to stalk his kids for the money they stole. Victor got the upper-hand on EJ regarding DiMera Enterprises.
Eric and Daniel discussed his future as a priest before Nicole entered the community room at the hospital. Eric left, leaving Daniel and Nicole alone. She learned there was no change with John's condition all while Daniel was cold toward her. He was still upset for what she did to Eric, claiming she hurt him more than Kristen did. In the waiting room, Theresa found Anne and seemed relieved at the likelihood that John would die. Marlena and Roman were visiting with John when Eric stopped by his hospital room. He informed his parents he was off to Rome to clear his name. They're happy that there might be a chance for him. Eric gave John a blessing before leaving. He bumped into Nicole who apologized. He assured her he was going to Rome with her, giving her hope. Roman could tell Marlena still loved John, so he left them alone. Marlena had a bad feeling about something happening.
JJ found that Eve's lawsuit made the paper at home. He remembered the disastrous date night with Paige. When Jennifer entered, he told her he was turning in his community service vest. She cheered for her son, but could also tell something was bothering him. JJ said he didn't want to discuss it, making Jenn go on about how proud she was of him.
At Club TBD, Paige also remembered her date with JJ. Eve laughed about the lawsuit making headlines nearby. Her throat surgeon called, and she spoke about juggling accounts before hanging up. Paige noticed her mother and wasn't happy to discover the lawsuit was already in the papers.
Abe went to the Kiriakis mansion to tell Brady and Victor that due to lack of evidence, the DA decided not to press charges. Victor was happy, while Brady still felt guilty. Daniel dropped by to tell the two men there was still hope for John. He informed them of his medical conference in St. Louis.
Theresa received a call from big sister Eve in the Horton Town Square. While she gushed about the front page news, Theresa had other things on her mind. Eve wanted to ask for a favor, but Theresa hung up on her. Paige went to see JJ, who apologized for going too far the other night. She admitted she overreacted and smiled at him. JJ's boss walked up to him to say his community service was finished. He was glad to be proven wrong about him. The two men shook hands, and JJ and Paige walked off.
Daniel did not want to be bothered with Eve when he left the Kiriakis mansion. Victor warned Brady not to give any money to Theresa when they get their annulment.
He opened the door to Eve and cracked, "Anybody order a hooker?" The two sniped at each other about the lawsuit. She asked about her sister, but Victor said he dropped her. He told her to leave town, but Eve fought back that she was staying to claim what was her's.
Theresa met with Brady in the park, who told her the annulment papers were being drawn up. They agreed to maintain their friendship. When he left, she told herself it was a bump in the road. She pondered why she felt bad, though.
Eric remembered getting aroused from his argument with Nicole at St. Luke's. Father Timothy began to question Eric's feelings for her.
Eve found a distraught Theresa at home. Theresa told her sister it was just allergies. Anne arrived as the two women introduced themselves. Theresa sent Eve away, but she decided to eavesdrop on their conversation. Theresa announced that Brady was annulling their marriage. Anne was confused as to why Theresa was happy at the possibility of John never waking up. She got a page and left. Eve reentered the apartment and admitted to overhearing their conversation. She wanted more information.
Nicole visited Brady at home. She was glad to hear their friendship was still intact. She wanted to help him through his rough time.
JJ and Paige professed their love for each other in the park.
Victor arrived at Jenn's to complain about Eve. He offered to hire the best lawyers and all the money she needed to help her beat Eve. He brought up Daniel, and Jenn said she had to move on from him.
Daniel got to his hotel room in St. Louis and was knocked out by a goon as soon as he walked in. We saw a pair of legs which belonged to Kristen.

EJ dropped by Sonny's apartment and received an earful about cheating on Sami. EJ claimed it was one stupid mistake. Why should it erase everything else he did? Sonny thought if he really cared about everyone, he wouldn't have cheated with Abigail.
Abby and Will discussed the affair at Club TBD. She said Sami had a right to be angry with her, but hoped it wouldn't come in between Will's relationship with her. Will remembered Sami slapping him after he called her a s*** and told his cousin their relationship was fine. He asked about how the affair began. Abby admitted she was drawn to EJ, especially since he was having problems with Sami. She blurted that she never loved him. Will said he wasn't happy about the affair, but Sami needed to calm down. Abby thought she did, but Will knew his mother was out for blood.
Anne fluffed her hair before meeting with Sami at the Brady pub. Sami wanted to know more about the HR guidelines and employee conduct. Anne was elated and brought up one employee who practically got away with everything. Sami requested for her to send the hospital code of conduct to her via email. She did and agreed to keep their meeting quiet. Later, Kayla arrived to meet with her niece. Sami informed her she had EJ arrested because he slept with Abby. Kayla was disgusted, especially after she was shown a photo of the two going at it. Sami asked for her aunt to fire Abigail. Kayla was apologetic but refused to take part in her revenge scheme.Sami read from the handbook, quoting the code of conduct. Abigail slept with a member of the board, so that was grounds for firing. Sami wanted Abigail fired from the hospital with no chance of rehiring again; if Kayla refused, she would pull the $20 million donation for the new children's wing.
Eve asked Theresa why she's scared John will wake up. She finally confessed her statement to the police was in Brady's best interest. Eve held up her cell phone while Theresa spoke and called her out for not being truthful. Theresa ate some peanut butter while Eve requested for her sister to donate blood for her upcoming operation. They both had the same rare blood type. She would keep quiet about John in return.
Brady asked Roman and Marlena if the bad thing that was happening was him visiting his father. Marlena pried Brady for answers, but he still didn't remember anything. While Roman took a call, Brady confessed he felt so dead after what Kristen had done to him. Brady spoke to his father, and Marlena smiled, hoping he would hear them. Brady left and found Theresa nearby with Eve. She told him she was donating blood for her sister. Marlena left John's room, and Theresa tried to escape. However, Eve stopped Marlena for a talk. She asked Theresa if she remembered anything from the night John was attacked. Eve said she didn't, but now knew her sister was praying for him to make a full recovery.
A bound and gagged Daniel came to and saw Kristen in his St. Louis hotel room. She removed his gag, and he began to scream. Kristen smacked him to stop. Her goon left and she began mocking Daniel. She informed him his upgraded room was sound-proof. Daniel ripped into her for raping and ruining Eric's life. She didn't want to talk about the former priest. She began to pry for information about Brady, knowing he was married to Theresa and John was attacked. She begged for more information and when Daniel refused, her goon returned to rough him up.
Will arrived home to find out about EJ's visit. Will planned to neutralize his mother and proceeded to make a call.
EJ told a board member on the phone through gritted teeth that he and Stefano had complete faith in Kate and Sami. He hung up and saw Abby. They stared at each other before she walked away. She ran to the park where EJ found her.
Brady paced around the mansion, remembering Theresa's statement.
Kristen's goon gagged Daniel, while she picked up a call from Brady on Daniel's phone.

Sami blackmailed Kayla; either the hospital didn't get the donation or Abby was to be fired. Kayla was ashamed to be related to Sami and asked that she never refer to her as "aunt" again. She left and bumped into Jenn. She told her about Sami's blackmail and went to the hospital to fire Abigail. Jenn ran into the pub and called Sami a monster. The two women sniped at each other with Sami calling Jenn out on her and her daughter's perfect behavior. Sami left after Jenn stated Marlena would not be proud of what her daughter had become.
EJ noticed Abby was sad before she ran away. He said that they shouldn't feel bad about what happened between the two of them. They displayed a lack of judgement, but they connected on a level. He reminded her of the integrity she had. She hoped he could get past it and be happy with Sami. She thanked him for everything he said and left.
Eric argued with Father Timothy about his feelings for Nicole. He asked if he still wanted her. He exclaimed he did, but then refused. Timothy said Eric needed Nicole with him to plead his case at the Vatican. Unless Dr, Chyka or Kristen surfaced to come to his aide. Eric said it wouldn't happen. He felt tortured that his future relied on Nicole.
Maggie ran into Nicole at the Horton Town Square. Both women discovered they bought Brady a maple walnut doughnut. Nicole assumed Maggie didn't want her at the mansion.
Kristen listened on Brady's call. Daniel yelled through his gag, and Kristen immediately hung up. Brady wondered if he should call back all while the goon hits Daniel in the gut. Kristen messaged as Daniel, saying he was in a meeting. Brady returned the message, expressing gratitude for his friendship. Daniel yelled that she wouldn't get anything out of him about Brady. Kristen was about to send a loving message to Jennifer when she realized the two hadn't corresponded in a while. She figured out they broke up and wanted to know why. She also asked about Brady's relationship with Theresa. She cared about him and wanted to offer help. Daniel realized he was the bait to get her to see Brady. She grinned, proving him right.
Nicole and Maggie arrived at the mansion with treats for Brady. He was thankful. He left to reach out to John's contacts at Basic Black to see if he could be of assistance. Nicole thanked Maggie for inviting her over. Maggie started in with her about what she did to Eric and Daniel but stopped. She said Brady needed to be surrounded by friends. Brady returned and Nicole gave him a pep talk. She was aware Brady was not responsible for the attack on John.
Victor and Kate met at Chez Rouge where he called her a duplicitous b**** for pretending to have leaked Titan secrets. Kate had a plan involving Victor's signature on several documents. She asked he wire the money to the DiMera Enterprises account. He signed, eager it would drive Stefano crazy.
Kayla called Abby to her office where she informed her of her conversation with Sami. Abby apologized for her actions. Kayla showed her the hospital's moral standards and behavior handbook. She realized Sami wanted her fired. Kayla stated Sami wanted her admit what she did in the resignation letter. Abigail was in tears and claimed she would do it in the morning. She ran off to find Sami.
Nicole was on the phone with someone about her passport and tickets being good to go for the trip.
Brady remembered shopping with Kristen at the town square. He told Nicole about it.
Kate met EJ at the club and told him to stop harassing board members. EJ simply stated he wanted a company to come back to, not a train wreck. They deserved it for what they did to Rafe; they were just spectators now. EJ received a call from Victor who tells him to meet at the Kiriakis mansion.

Rafe told Ben that he thought Jordan was avoiding him. Ben dismissed it, saying she was busy. Sonny dropped by where he learned Rafe was going to visit Gabi the following day. He had photos for her to see. Ben informed Rafe Jordan was at work, so he left.
Jordan attempted to pay Clyde off with a cashier's check. She wanted him to leave Salem and forget about her and Ben. Clyde accepted the check, but he warned his step-daughter it didn't begin to pay him back for what she took from him. He threatened to tell her new friends about her crimes. Rafe arrived.
Will asked Kate over to his apartment to get her to open up about the takeover at DiMera Enterprises. Kate informed him about Nick's lawyer sending Sami the photos of EJ and Abby after he was murdered. She sought Kate out for her expertise in business. They scammed the board and everyone at the company was happy about it. While she continued to gush about the plan, she remained unaware that Will was collecting facts for his article. Sonny later arrived home where Will attacked him with kisses. As they were in bed, Will told his husband that his mother and EJ were going to get exactly what they deserved.
Victor informed EJ that Kate sold two important companies to him that were mainly ran by himself and Stefano. He now understood how far Kate and Sami would go to see the two men suffer. Victor asked if he was still interested in doing consulting work on the companies. He congratulated EJ on his wedding and relished in his suffering.
Abigail confronted Sami at the mansion over her getting fired. She twisted the knife regarding her affair with EJ, stating they had a deep connection over their love of art. She called Sami out on her insecurities, especially since she was the one who asked Abby for art lessons. "Does that sound like a woman who is secure in the love of her husband?" Sami was hit by her words and things began to get physical. Sami assumed she was in love with EJ all while smacking her lightly on the cheeks. Abigail warned her she will write the resignation letter, but after that they are done. If Sami tried anything further, she would go after her with methods she picked up from her. Sami is tortured with the memory of EJ making love to her before their wedding. "That is the last time you will ever touch me, EJ." EJ arrived home where Harold spilled that Abby was there, and the two women argued. He tried to talk some sense into his wife, but she claimed he only cared about losing the company and not her. He threatened to retaliate against her, and she invited him to, still wounded from her encounter with Abby.
Kristen was set on messaging Brady as Daniel to get him to St. Louis. Daniel undermined her confidence in the scheme, and she resorted to going with Plan B. She left him alone with her goon to beat him up some more. Since she needed Daniel's words to splice together a desperate cry for help to Brady, he couldn't do too much damage. Daniel managed to break free from the rope and knocked the goon out. When Kristen returned, Daniel grabbed her.
Abby showed up at the club in tears as she told Ben about her latest spat with Sami. Ben's disgusted that Sami had her fired. Kate walked over to the two and said she was aware that Sami was going overboard with her revenge, but Ben was more appropriate for Abby anyway.

Paige and JJ spent the day at the lake where they professed their love for each other. After he made a joke about her going to Stanford in the fall, Paige realized her leaving for school would be hard on the both of them. Paige went home to try to talk to her mom about it, but she was too upset from her falling out with Maggie.
Earlier, Eve spoke with Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion about the lawsuit. She wanted Maggie's help, especially since Jenn was her niece. After mentioning her jealousy at Daniel being interested in her, Maggie offered to tell her Daniel was her son. Eve was shocked as she remembered Maggie only had daughters. "You should. You ran one of them over." Eve shrugged and saw where Daniel got his good looks. Maggie told her to shut up and she threw her out of the mansion.
Kate and Sami were at the pub gloating about Victor purchasing all the subsidiary companies of DiMera. Kate even mocked Stefano's warning to her that she wouldn't get away with it. She also twisted the knife a bit when she saw Abigail and Ben together. She gave away one of Stefano's islands while Sami countered she gave away EJ's first race car to a museum in Toledo. They cackled and sipped martinis. When Kate asked Sami to tell Jordan about her night with Rafe, Sami accused her of still having feelings for him.
Jordan introduced Rafe to her stepfather, Clyde at the hospital. He mentioned her name being Tammy Sue before leaving to check on Ben. Rafe was intrigued with this new information but got a call back to work. He really wanted to connect with her more on her past. They professed their love and agreed to meet each other in one hour.
Abby wrote her resignation letter at the club. Ben read it and was upset to discover she had to include all the horrid details of her affair with EJ. When she left to take it to the hospital, Clyde approached his son. He told his son he did nicely for himself, calling Abby a "sweet young thing." It was an attempt at bonding, but Ben had none of it. He laid into his father about how they were nothing alike. Clyde didn't appreciate the back-talk from his son. He threatened to break him, just like he did before.
Abby arrived at the hospital where she bumped into Jordan. Papers flew and Jordan helped her pick them up. Abby told Jordan she was aware of her relationships to Ben and Clyde. Jordan hoped he wouldn't get in the way of her relationship with Rafe. She spotted Abby's resignation letter where she had to spill about her affair with EJ. Jordan stated EJ was just as responsible for what happened. Sami arrived and began to make trouble for Abigail. Jordan started in with her for judging people when she was just as bad in the past. Sami told her to mind her own business. Jordan continued to but-in, and Sami blurted out that Rafe recently had sex with Kate.
Daniel got the upper-hand on Kristen and carried her to a supply closet. They were almost spotted by her thugs, but he was able to keep her captive. She awoke and hit him, but he was still able to bound and gag her. He told her of his plan to take her back to Salem where she would have to pay for her crimes.
Rafe saw Kate at the pub where he continued to put her on notice about telling Jordan they slept together.
Maggie visited JJ at home to find out how he was doing. He was fine but confused about Paige. She left to make a call about Eve and her lawsuit.
