Demi Lovato opened up about her on-again, off-again friendship with Selena Gomez during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night, explaining why she recently unfollowed her on Twitter.
Last month, the longtime friends seemed to end their friendship for good when Lovato made it known by both unfollowing her and tweeting then deleting, "Swimming away from the bulls--t bye b—ch.”
During a game of “Plead the Fifth,” having already used her free pass, she asked to “plead the sixth” when it came to a question about her falling out with Gomez.
When host Andy Cohen asked if people were reading into a feud that doesn’t exist, Lovato made it pretty clear they were no longer friends. “It’s just one of those things where people change and people grow apart,” she said, >PopSugar reports.
This isn’t the first time their friendship has been in trouble, as they had a falling out when they were both teenagers. After Lovato’s rehab stint, Gomez admitted her addictions were too “confusing” for her and they fell out of touch.
"She was going through things and I was so young and it was confusing,” Gomez admitted to Seventeen magazine but added at the time, “I don't think it was fair. I'm so happy that I have her back in my life now."
