Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy tied the knot on Saturday, yet all anyone focused on was how the New Kid on the Block singer's movie star brother wasn't in attendance.

As reported earlier, the couple were set to marry on Saturday at a location in New York. They were set to have their ceremony in front of 80 family and friends.

The former View co-host had been excited leading up towards the wedding, talking up her fiance when she spoke with shock jock Howard Stern. McCarthy proclaimed at the time she "got the best Wahlberg."

Still, while the couple were preparing to get married, all the focus was on how Mark Wahlberg would not be watching his brother marry McCarthy.

TMZ claimed that part of the issue might be that the actor's wife Rhea and other members of the family could possibly be slightly upset due to that interview where she also spoke openly about her life before Donnie. "I went through probably 400 vibrators," she quipped.

But the reality seems far more benign. The Transformers star was simply back home in Los Angeles celebrating his daughter's 11 birthday since he would be on set filming Ted 2 Tuesday, when her actual birthday lands this year.

The Daily Mail notes he was even seen spending time in L.A. with his family on Thursday, when he picked up his children from class.

And though he might not have been in attendance, and for that matter his other brother Bobby and their mother wouldn't be there either, Mark did take the time to at least tweet out his congratulations to his brother.

"Congratulations @DonnieWahlberg and @JennyMcCarthy, so happy for you both," he wrote.
