Looking for an afternoon of impeccable service, cuisine and culture while touring Boston? You can accomplish all of this within the Prudential Center (800 Boylston Street) at Top of The Hub and Skywalk Observatory. “Top Of The Hub”, located in the Prudential Center (800 Boylston Street) this restaurant has “soared” 50 stories above Boston and provides you with a simply beautiful panoramic view of the entire city. Our waiter, Bladamir, quickly set us up with Papaya Melon Martini’s on his recommendation which did NOT disappoint. Executive chef Mark J. Porcaro and his culinary team truly treat you to some of the most delicious choices for lunch, dinner and dessert (they also offer an amazing Sunday Brunch). Their price-fixe lunch menu offers affordable options for everyone Monday through Friday. Our table sampled the “spicy lobster soup” and grilled calamari as starters; the soup was amazingly creamy and delish; not a piece of calamari was left on the plate. For lunch I chose the “Lobster Roll Sandwich” which was a light combination of mayo and lobster chunks and accompanied by homemade potato chips. My family chose cheeseburgers; they also arrived with artisan style potato chips. It was a truly scrumptious and perfect lunch. Bladamir suggested the chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream for dessert; absolutely the second to none. Many thanks to the staff of Top Of The Hub for the wonderful lunch and even better service. Top of The Hub is open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. After lunch by dropping down to the 50th floor of the Prudential Center we visited the Skywalk Observatory; a terrific panoramic view of Boston and the cities sky high viewpoint. Skywalk provides us with educational exhibits and films touching on the topics of immigration and how it shaped Boston as well as a narrated tour of the city. Please take advantage of their audio tour options available in an array of languages and provides you with historical and cultural viewpoints. Skywalk is perfect for student and tourist groups and can accommodate breakfast, lunch and dinner events from 5 to 500. For more information please call 617-859-3066. This truly spectacular tourist attraction is completely affordable for everyone at $16.00 for adults and $11.00 for children 11 and under. There are also group and student pricing available. We truly enjoyed every moment of our journey to the sky to view Boston in one of the most beautiful ways possible.
