James Corden is an actor, producer, comedian, and screenwriter, well known in the United Kingdom. He was chosen as Craig Ferguson's successor for hosting The Late Late Show in 2015.

Born in Hillingdon, London, Corden and his family relocated to Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire where he attended Holmer Green Upper School. He lived with his two sisters, Andrea Henry and Ruth Corden and his parents.

His acting career started on stage in the 1996 musical Martin Guerre when he was 18. He got into television when he was featured on British sitcom Out of Tune from 1996-1998. His other early television credits include Boyz Unlimited, Hollyoaks, and Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story.

He also appeared in films including Whatever Happened to Harold Smith?, Heartlands, and Cruise of the Gods.

His popularity soared from 2000 to 2005 when he starred in Fat Friends as one of the main characters, Jamie Rymer. The show ran for four years.

Corden returned to the stage for productions of The History Boys beginning in 2004. The show was performed on Broadway in 2007 and was made into a film in 2006, which he was featured in.

From 2007 to 2010, Corden wrote and starred in his own BBC series Gavin & Stacey. The show won a number of awards including Best Male Comedy Performer and Most Popular Comedy Program.

During his time with Gavin & Stacey, he was featured in films including How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Lesbian Vampire Killers, and Planet 51.

In 2010, he began hosting A League of Their Own, a comedy/sports panel show with Andrew Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp. He was also involved in Channel 4's Comedy Gala, a benefit show supporting Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. In support of the hospital, Corden recorded a single with Dizzee Rascal entitled "Shout," which was featured on the English World Cup.

He had a recurring role on Doctor Who as Craig Owens, The Doctor's roommate. He wrote comedy sketches for The X-Factor runners up, JLS when they participated in an hour long Christmas special.

In 2011, he performed in the stage production for One Man, Two Guvnors. He won a Tony Award in 2012 for Best Leading Actor in a Play for his performance.

Corden also had film roles in One Chance and Begin Again. He is set to appear in upcoming film adaptation for the musical Into the Woods with Anna Kendrick and Meryl Streep.

His recent television series The Wrong Mans premiered in September 2013. Corden wrote, starred, and produced the series with Matthew Baynton, who worked with him on Gavin & Stacey.

Corden has been married to Julia Carey since 2012. The couple have a son together named Max.

It was recently announced that Corden would be taking over as the host for CBS' The Late Late Show. He would be replacing Craig Ferguson beginning 2015.
