After fulfilling Boy Meets World fans’ decades-long dream of reviving the show, The Disney Channel wasn’t just going to go one-and-done with Girl Meets World. Those curious to see if the new show recaptured the magic tuned in and the show has been given a second season.
Girl Meets World features Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage returning, and the focus is on Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard. Many characters from Boy Meets World have made cameos on the show, including Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), Minkus (Lee Norris) and Shawn (Rider Strong).
The new show premiered in June, drawing 5.7 million viewers and scoring the top ratings in the kids and tween demographic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming on Girl Meets World’s second season will start in November. The show is produced by It's a Laugh Productions.
