Since his split with Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder had been rumored to seeing Twilight star Nikki Reed. While there has been much speculation, Somerhalder finally opened up about his romance.
“I couldn’t be happier if I tried,” Somerhalder said, speaking about his romance with Reed.
The pair had been spending a lot of time together, even adopting a horse and raising humanitarian issues. The couple also has been sharing PDA, especially at the Teen Choice Awards, reported Associated Press.
On Somerhalder’s Instagram, he posted a picture of the couple’s horse.
The Vampire Diaries star made an appearance with Reed and her father, Seth Reed, at the 66th Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday. Reed’s father is an art direct who is known for his work on films such as Fight Club and Minority Report, reported the Daily Mail.
Somerhalder’s documentary, Years of Living Dangerously, was nominated for two Emmys. The film focuses on the effects of climate change how what can be done to fight it. Natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy, and the drought in the Middle East were also examined.
“The fact that programming like Years of Living Dangerously can affect so many and be so impactful gives me hope, hopefully gives us all hope,” Somerhalder tweeted.
