James Marsden is heading to HBO for a starring role in the network's upcoming series Westworld.
Marsden joins topliner Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood in the series, along with Eddie Rouse and several other names, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The X-Men star will play a mysterious newcomer to Westworld's town. Upon joining the frontier town, Teddy Flood establishes both to be charming and dangerous with a revolver. He soon finds himself attracted to a local beauty.
Rouse is playing "Kissy," or Kisecawchunk, who is an American-Indian who is the dealer, both cards and contraband, in the local saloon.
Others joining the cast include Kyle Bornheimer, Demetrius Grosse, Lean Georgas, Timothy Lee DePriest, Steven Ogg and Currie Graham.
Two days prior, Jeffrey Wright, Shannon Woodward, Rodrigo Santoro, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Simon Quarterman and Angela Sarafyan were cast in the series, which is based off the 1973 film from Michael Crichton.
Westworld will be executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk, alongside pilot co-writers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. David Coatsworth will be line producer and co-EP, alongside Kathy Lingg, Susie Ekins and Athena Wickham.
