Jennifer Lopez grudgingly agreed to dance with a hopeful contestant in a preview for the upcoming fourteenth season of Fox’s American Idol.

Jennifer Lopez has been a judge for American Idol for its last few seasons and fans are gearing up for the 2015 competition. Initial Idol auditions are famously held throughout the US during the summer months, and Fox has already released a snippet from the upcoming season.

While most contestants are just excited to get through the first round of auditions, one man hoped to take his time with the judges a little further. According to People, the unnamed Idol contestant asked Jennifer Lopez to dance with him as he sang his rendition of Sam Smith’s hit “Stay With Me.”

In the clip above, Lopez initially attempts to politely decline his request in the clip by complaining that her heels are too high. However, the longtime singer eventually concedes after succumbing to a bit of pressure from fellow judges and music moguls Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. Urban even plays the guitar and harmonizes with the contestant!
