For everyone who’s been holding out for a Friends reunion, this might be the closest we’re going to get. On Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow reunited to return to a replica of the set we all know and love.

Kimmel got the ladies together to act out some scenes he says he wrote years ago, which he described as “fan fiction,” of course interjecting himself into the script.

However, he didn’t write himself in as himself. He acted out the scene as Ross Gellar – who David Schwimmer famously played.

Before the show, he teased a photo on Twitter.

EW reports he started off interviewing Aniston, then surprised the studio audience with the mock set by pulling back the curtains.

Kimmel said he spent $80,000 to make the exact replica of the kitchen where the cast is often seen on the show.

CBS News notes Kimmel told Aniston, Cox and Kudrow that in his fan fiction script, he killed off Joey and Chandler. He said they both died from being bitten by Ross’ pet monkey, Marcel.
