Fashion Police host and legendary Hollywood comedian Joan Rivers is reportedly on life support as of Saturday afternoon.
As we previously reported, Rivers was admitted to Mount Sinai hospital in New York City after she stopped breathing while under the knife for a throat procedure.
Rivers, 81, was previously said to be in stable condition. However, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse, as TMZ reports that she is now on life support. TMZ alleges that she is completely dependent on the life support machines. However, her daughter Melissa is trying to remain hopeful. Melissa flew from Los Angeles to New York City to be by her mother’s side.
Luckily, Rivers was at a surgery center close to Mount Sinai when she went into cardiac arrest on the operating table. She was undergoing surgery to repair her vocal chords on Thursday morning.
Sadly, Rivers’ family will have to decide whether or not to keep her on life support in a few days if her condition does not improve.
