Emmy winner John Larroquette and Cass Bugge have been cast in HBO's upcoming half-hour comedy series The Brink.
According to Deadline, the two actors will appear in multi-episode arcs during the season.
The Brink stars Jack Black, Tim Robbins and Pablo Schreiber in a series about a geopolitical crisis and how it affects the three men. Their characters will have to pull together and see if they can help prevent the star of World War III.
As previously reported, Robbins will play Secretary of State Walter Hollander, Black is on board as lowly Foreign Service officer Alex Coppins and Schreiber is Navy fighter pilot Zeke Callahan.
Larroquette will play U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Robert Kittredge. He is described as a career diplomat and finds himself struggling to cope with the situation. Bugge will play assistant Samantha Gregory, who works in the Embassy.
Robbins and Black will produce alongside Aasif Mandvi, who is also co-starring in the series. Jerry Weintraub, Jerry Roach, Susan Ekins, Roberto Benabib and Ken Benabib will executive produce. The Benabib brothers wrote the script and Roach is directing.
