Mark David Chapman, the man who killed the former Beatle John Lennon, was denied parole yet again.

According to the New York Daily News, who first reported the denial, the three-parole board believe that the 59-year-old remains a threat to others outside of prison.

"The panel has determined that if released at this time, there is a reasonable probability that you would not live and remain at liberty without again violating the law."

Chapman, who is currently serving a 20-year to life sentence for killing Lennon, will not be eligible for parole again until 2016.

Lennon's wife Yoko Ono (right) also told the parole board ahead of their decision that she was afraid of Chapman coming after her and her two sons if granted parole.

Chapman shot Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980 five times and hit him with four of the shots, Gannett reports, outside of his Manhattan Upper West Side Home. Chapman ended up pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
