Jackass star Johnny Knoxville has signed an overall deal with ABC, meaning that his Hello Junior! banner will create new programs for the alphabet network.

The two-year deal links Knoxville’s Hello Junior! to ABC Studios, notes The Hollywood Reporter. The news was also confirmed by Deadline.

Hello Junior!’s first ABC project will be an untitled comedy based on Knoxville’s unconventional childhood in the South. He is the son of a Sunday school teacher and car salesman, which sounds like a good start for a comedy.

Knoxville will executive produce the series with 3 Arts.

On the feature side, Hello Junior! will continue working with Paramount. The studios signed a two-year first-look deal earlier this year. Paramount produces the Jackass films, which have made over $330 million worldwide. The most recent film of the series, Bad Grandpa, was a big hit and even nominated for an Oscar for make-up.

Knoxville established himself in the entertainment world with the MTV Jackass series, which only ran from 2000 to 2002. Still, his stunts and pranks helped launch a career that only gets bigger. He recently voiced one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Paramount’s reboot.
