Julianne Hough is reportedly in talks to become a judge on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. She wouldn’t be replacing any of the show’s judges; Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, instead she would become a fourth judge on the 19th season of the show.
Nothing is set in stone and they’re just in the beginning stages of talks, a source told E! News.
Hough has had some practice, as she’s returned as a guest judge last season and on Season 17.
TMZ also reports Hough is expected to sign a contract to appear as the fourth judge.
She left the show to pursue a career in films and has since appeared in Burlesque, Footloose, Rock of Ages and Safe Haven.
It’s also been rumored that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is gunning for the fourth spot at the judging table. He just announced he would not be returning for Season 19.
ABC announced the dancers that would be returning next season, which includes Hough’s brother, Derek Hough.
