Kate Upton told Michael Strahan on Live! with Kelly and Michael while filling in for Kelly Ripa on Friday that she’s banned from wearing clothes supporting her boyfriend’s team while at Yankee Stadium.
Her boyfriend, Justin Verlander, is a pitcher for the Detroit Lions. While at one of his games at Yankee Stadium last Monday, Upton said she was told she couldn’t wear Tigers gear.
"They specifically told me—the Yankees told me —'You're not allowed to wear a Tigers hat! You're not allowed to wear any Tigers gear, '" she said, E! Online reports.
She added it was like a “bad break-up,” since she had to “pick a side.”
"I used to be a really big Yankees fan," she said, but “I'm sleeping with the enemy!"
Upton isn’t hiding her relationship with Verlander anymore since they got back together after a brief split. She has denied romance rumors since last year.
