Well this is certainly interesting. In what world does the best player in the NBA sign with a team without even meeting the head coach first? This world it seems, as LeBron James has finally met with his head coach David Blatt and general manager David Griffin.

The time comes almost a full month after James announced to the world he would indeed be returning home. Tuesday he finally had that face-to-face meeting with Blatt and Griffin, according to ESPN.com.
Since “The Decision 2.0,” James has been extremely busy, away from the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s been to China and Brazil on promotional trips for Nike. Now though, it seems like summer is over for “The King” as the Cavs brass saw a much thinner James. It’s been reported that he’s lost more than 10 lbs since the end of last season, according to CBS Sports.

Despite not being around Cleveland, James has still done work for this upcoming season. He’s successfully recruited Mike Miller and free agent James Jones, and most likely has been involved in the trade rumors for Minnesota Timberwolves big-man Kevin Love.
It’s amazing, the only thing James had to do before announcing his decision to return home was discretely sit down with owner Dan Gilbert to clear the air. No contract discussions or meetings with other Cavs principles needed to take place.
Slowly but surely, the new LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers are taking shape.
