Lena Dunham has debuted a drastic new hairstyle, both dying her light brown locks bleach blonde and cutting it into a bowl cut.
She posted a photo of her new look with an explanation as to why she did it. “Change is good,” she wrote.
She shared a few more shots with friends, and even a video of herself completing the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Perhaps Dunham’s change in appearance was inspired by her guest starring appearance with Sia’s to promote her new song “Chandelier” off of her new album 1000 Forms of Fear on Late Show with Seth Meyers.
During the performance, Sia sang while Dunham did an interpretive dance in a blonde wig.
E! Online brings up the question of whether or not she’s wearing a wig again.
If it isn’t a wig, there’s no word on whether the new hairstyle will play a part in the next season of HBO’s Girls.
