There have been more reports today about Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s crumbling marriage. It appears that the two have been living apart for months and the divorce could be made official any day now.
The rumor mill on their relationship got churning again this week, when several tabloids reported that they have been trying a trial separation and fight whenever they are together. They have not shared PDA photos on social media in months and Cannon appears to avoid mentioning his wife on America’s Got Talent this season, unlike past years.
Us Weekly claims that the two, who tied the knot in 2008, have been living separately since June, but TMZ says that they split in May. Nevertheless, it is clear that the relationship is on the rocks.
“It has been shaky for a while, but it all came to a head recently,” Us Weekly’s source said.
TMZ says that the split dates back to March when Cannon appeared on Big Boy’s radio show and named Kim Kardashian as one of the five women he’s slept with. This apparently got Carey infuriated and it didn’t help when he went on Howard Stern’s show days later and said Carey didn’t know who Kardashian is. She also thinks he’s avoiding her by taking every job he’s offered, even though they don’t need the money.
Cannon thinks Carey has too many “yes men” around her and she can’t handle anyone disagreeing with her.
Of course, reps for the couple have not commented on the speculation.
Cannon and Carey are the parents of twins Moroccan and Monroe, who are 3.
