Police in Bellevue, Washington, are investigating Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch on an allegation of assault and personal property damage alleged to have occurred early Sunday morning.

The incident was alleged to have occurred at 2:30 in the morning, and the female victim named Marshawn Lynch as the suspect. The Bellevue police stated they are in the process of gathering facts on the alleged incident, and no arrests have been made according to The Seattle Times.

The allegations did not include sexual assault or domestic violence.

The Seattle Seahawks responded to the allegations with a statement released on Tuesday. “While we maintain the utmost respect for the investigative process, after speaking with Marshawn, we are comfortable these accusations are bogus,” the Seahawks said in a team statement.

As a member of the Buffalo Bills, Lynch pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors; a January 2008 hit-and-run complaint and a February 2009 concealed weapon charge according to Yahoo Sports.

Two weeks after the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos, Lynch pleaded guilty for reckless driving following a July 2012 DUI arrest. Lynch received two years probation.

If Lynch is found to be involved with this most recent alleged assault then he could face both a violation of his probation and the league’s personal conduct policy.

Lynch is coming off the fifth 1,000 yard season of his seven-year career.
