Somehow, Michael Strahan and Maria Menounos got Dame Helen Mirren to twerk on national television and even more surprisingly, it wasn’t her first time doing it.
While on Live! with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday morning, Menounos – who was filling in for Kelly Ripa – and Strahan played Mirren the video of herself twerking at Harvard University while accepting the 2014 Woman of the Year award from Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
Strahan told Mirren, “As a twerking expert, that was very, very good.”
When he got up to show of his moves for the audience, Mirren joined in, HitFix reports.

Mirren also stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote The Hundred-Foot Journey this week, where they played a hilarious game called “Mirren, Mirren.” In the segment, Fallon asked the mirror questions like her stance on the legalization of marijuana and her thoughts on Twilight and the iPhone 5.
