MTV and TBS will share the basic cable rights to 20th Century Fox Television comedy New Girl, it was announced Tuesday.

The Fox comedy series will begin airing on the two cable networks in fall 2015 and the deal is for five years, Deadline exclusively reported. The show will air during the week on MTV and TBS.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Girl has dropped in the ratings slightly since debuting in 2011 to 10.2 million viewers, but is still a top comedy series for the network.

The comedy about a slightly clueless, but spirited woman who lives with several roommates managed to average a 2.5 rating in the advertiser important 18-49 demographic for the third season.

New Girl was created by Liz Meriwether and stars Zooey Deschanel, Jakhe Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, Damon Wayans Jr. and Hannah Simone.

New Girl's fourth season returns to Fox Sept. 16, with Jessica Biel and Reid Scott guest starring.
