Nick Minaj is facing a $50,000 lawsuit, filed by entertainment company IMP Entertainment for an incident stemming from 2011.
The company said they paid the “Anaconda” rapper the same amount of money to host an NBA All-Star weekend event, but her “diva” antics “defeated the entire purpose” of her being there.
Minaj reportedly showed up an hour and a half late to the event. Her obligation was only scheduled to last an hour. On top of that, she left a half hour into it.
New York Post reports the lawsuit was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
It seems Minaj is hardly hurting for cash, so returning the $50,000 shouldn’t be a problem. She released her single “Anaconda” recently and has received praise for her NSFW single art that accompanies it. She’s also featured on a song called “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Ariana Grande.
Her new album The Pink Print should be available sometime later this year, although a release date hasn’t been set.
